During the senior years, youth are deepening relationships and preparing to launch into adulthood. Claro Centres offers support and skill-building. Claro Senior offers support and skill-building in small pods at a 1:4, or sometimes 1:3, staff-to-youth ratio, depending on strengths, needs, abilities and group dynamics. The age range is approximate, taking into account both the age and stage of each youth. Claro provides a full-time, integrated day program for children and youth. While families experience Claro as an integrated whole, our program comprises two distinct aspects that are delivered and funded separately. Together, these two components support children and youth to build skills, confidence, and meaningful participation in their communities.
Morning: Online School Support
Kleos Open Learning contracts Claro as a service provider to support students in accessing their online learning. Kleos is responsible for all educational programming, including planning, delivery, instruction, assessment, and reporting, delivered by certified Inclusive Education Teachers. Claro Mentors provide skilled in-person educational assistance to help Kleos students work toward their Kleos IEP goals and teacher-directed learning outcomes. Some youth choose to attend only the morning online school support program. Afternoon: Small-Group Behaviour Intervention
Small-group behaviour intervention supports the development of life skills, social connection, and emotional regulation. This portion of our program is fully planned and delivered by Claro and is privately funded by parents/guardians, billed at an hourly rate. Some youth choose to attend only the afternoon small group behaviour intervention program.
