Claro Family Support offers a variety of after school social groups for children of various ages (over 6), and developmental stages, including teens and young adults. Groups are designed for children and youth who want to improve their confidence and competence in social interaction. Incorporating creativity, fun, place-based learning, and community outings, our social groups support children to develop the skills they need to learn, grow and shine at home and in the community. No diagnosis needed. Groups may be a fit for Autistic children and youth, those with ADHD, FASD, Intellectual Impairment, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Tourette's Syndrome, Anxiety and/or Depression, other neuro-divergence, sensitivity and/or shyness. Social is a skill and we will support your child develop it! Claro Social Groups feature high interest themes in a small group setting of approximately 3-5 participants. Groups will be composed based on developmental needs, goals, and schedule availability. Most groups are staffed at a ratio of 1 Mentor (Behaviour Interventionist) to 2 participants. All groups are developed with program supervision from a Family Support Consultant (Behaviour Consultant). Claro Family will provide an individualized written report monthly to summarize your child's progress, and highlight strengths and stretches. This report may be helpful in your child's next IEP meeting. |
